How Tap to Pay on iPhone works

Tap to Pay on iPhone lets you take in-person contactless payments using only an iPhone and the Paid app. Your customer holds their contactless card, Apple Pay or other mobile wallet near the top of your iPhone, and the payment is processed securely through your own Stripe account.

There is nothing to buy, charge or pair. It is the fastest way to start accepting card payments on the go — ideal for markets, pop-ups, deliveries, trades and any business that sells in person.

Requirements: Requires a compatible iPhone (iPhone XS or later) running a recent version of iOS.
